“Education and training plan of the centre of excellence in territorial management and cadastre – CENTRIC” workshop

On October 16th 2015, the “Education and training plan of the centre of excellence in territorial management and cadastre – CENTRIC” workshop took place in Bucharest, an event organized by URBAN-INCERC, together with the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (CENTRIC project coordinator) and SC URBASOFIA S.R.L. (subcontractor of URBAN-INCERC).

The event had a significant representation from both the public and the private sectors, like Romanian universities and research centres, central public institutions, private companies and professional associations.

The workshop had two objectives: on the one hand, the presentation of the project to representatives of institutions/companies from Romania, focalizing on elements of curricula/skills considered to be a priority by the participants for the future Centre of Excellence in Cadastre and Territorial Management and, on the other hand, the presentation of the participants’ educational offer and their position regarding a potential partnership with CENTRIC on education and training.

The meeting was a good opportunity to present the CENTRIC project to key actors working in the field of cadastre and territorial management and to lay the foundations for cooperation with these actors to define an educational and training plan for the future centre. In this regard, the event was just the start point of future meetings and the organisation of working groups more focused on issues related to education and training, and to provide the necessary information regarding their educational offer, consistent with the needs identified for the future centre.
